Family Movie Night

In this blog, I will be telling you about a movie night that our middle school students planned and hosted. Movie Night took place on December 14, 2018. This event was a family event, which means that the children came with their family to the movie night. We decided to make it a fun holiday theme and played Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. We also provided popcorn, pizza, juice and water. One of our 7th grade students, Jackson,  is the Fundraising Manager, and he was in charge of this event. All of the other middle school students were assigned jobs and were there to help him along the way.

Prior to this event, we had a lot of pre-planning to do. We made all of the important decisions regarding the date, theme, pricing and more, then we gave out fliers with  all the information on it to our families. In order to plan for pizza and the juice, we asked for RSVP’s and on the back of the flyer, there was a form the family could fill out.

The kids attending the event were mostly primary and lower elementary kids. Everyone seemed to  have a very fun time and it was a successful fundraising event for the middle school!
