On November 20th, Sun Grove families came together to celebrate the annual tradition known as “The Feast”. Students from Toddlers to Middle School worked as a team to prepare all of the food for the student’s families to enjoy. Almost every class participated in preparing the food; Toddler and Primary students cut carrots, snapped beans, and shook butter. Lower Elementary students prepared and baked pumpkin pie, rolls, cranberry relish, potatoes, cut celery and onions. Middle School students supervised elementary groups, took pictures and participated in making rolls and pumpkin pie.
This picture shows Ms. Sam and Anel Dieujuste having a blast at the Thanksgiving feast. With a crowd surrounding them, these two manage to stay in the moment and enjoy each other’s company.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate this wonderful and loving energy cast between these two which is absolutely magical.
“Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.”
~Winnie the Pooh.
With determination in her eyes, Norah Merson gears up for the Thanksgiving feast. Her turkey hat now in place, Norah is now ready to gobble down some food.
Rolls, green beans, or maybe some fruit? Who knows what’s going on inside that little munchkin’s head.
It is a nice time for us to stop and take time to be thankful for everything that we have. Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thank you to all of our Sun Grove community for being kind, generous, thoughtful and beautiful inside. The day of the feast is a day to celebrate joy, peace, each other and that is exactly what we did.
